American Idull

The fix is on. A quirky blond who had been sick suddenly recovered and was able to perform last night. She was good but a Black woman singing spectacularly a Kelly Clarkson song written by one of the judges was told it lacked soul (feeling, emotion, heartbreak). She smiled too much probably to mask her tears knowing the fix was on for the great white hope a blond singer songwriter to win.
I've been watching the Olympics so I had no real emotion invested in any of the singers. But the beautiful talented black woman was obviously great. That's the music business run by vultures like Simon Cowell who see singers as a commodity.
So we may have progressed since the Emancipation Proclamation, but slavery still goes on. Even if the beat doesn't. IDULL rearranged the performance schedule so the great white hope could perform. Got heart? No!
